Description of the procedure
Non-surgical facial rejuvenation – Microneedling Preston
The aim of the Dermapen treatment is to improve the overall texture and condition of your skin. Microneedling is used to treat unwanted wrinkles, lines, and folds. It can also be used to lighten scars and discolouration, seal broken blood vessels, as well as improve skin tone and reduce the visibility of open pores. For best results, we recommend a series of 4 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart.
It’s a non-invasive, yet very effective rejuvenating treatment. Microneedling results include the reduction of skin imperfections and the improvement of skin quality. It consists of using very tiny needles to puncture the surface of the skin. This procedure is supposed to stimulate a healing response which should cause the skin to kickstart the production of collagen and elastin. Therefore, this treatment is often called collagen induction therapy, as it encourages superlative collagen production.
Microneedling – collagen induction therapy
It is performed using tiny needles to create microchannels in the skin. Dermarolling is done using a Dermapen device. The device is passed over the area to be treated. It can be used by people who are unhappy with their skin, be it from old acne scars, signs of ageing or sun sports. This advanced skin-needling technology is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation which is fast and effective. Each session lasts about 45-60 minutes.Microneedling results
This specialized technique can be used to fight e.g., hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. Examples of microneedling results include reduced the appearance of scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and age spots. Every treatment can be tailored to your needs and desired results, as this microneedling technique can be adjusted to work at the right depth in different areas of the skin.
Dermarolling
Dermaroller is a quite cheap device which can be used at home, but it’s nowhere near as effective or sterile as a collagen induction therapy performed by a professional using a Dermapen device. Dermarolling is a treatment which involves using a Dermapen, an updated and electronic version of the dermaroller. Both devices work by having the microneedles prick the skin which then prompts the body to heal and repair itself by producing collagen and elastin. However, dermarolling using Dermapen is less uncomfortable and less painful than using Dermaroller. Additionally, the aesthetic professional using Dermapen can set and control the depth of the needs, how aggressive the microneedling should be to get the desired results and can easily navigate even small and contoured areas.
